We're back! Here is one of our favorite blogs from 2015 - highlighting the joys of the car line. We'd love to hear your tips - please comment below!
My daughter started kindergarten this year! It has been an amazing adventure but with every adventure comes new things. This was the first time in my life I was introduced to a car line. My daughter's school is new this year and it is absolutely beautiful. With that being said the first week of school in the car line was an absolute nightmare.
If I had the luxury of being in the car line alone it wouldn't have been as bad but in tow with me I have my three year old son who is in the middle of an amazing tantrum phase. In addition to the tantrums, he knows that if he says he has to go potty , then he can get out of the car.
So let's do the math, tired mom, cranky three year old, and a really really long line of parents who are equally miserable. Here are some of the things that have happened to us so far:
I think it is safe to say we've made a spectacle of ourselves and we are pretty well known in the car line! Here are some tips that I can pass along so that you too can survive the car line!
How do you survive the car line?
We had the pleasure of being invited to the Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. at Treasure Island. My kids were so excited!!! I brought my smallest two because they are Marvel fanatics! My 6 year old's favorite is Scarlett Witch and my 4 year old loves the Hulk. It was a great surprise trip for them.
The box office the Avengers is conveniently located on the second floor. On the first floor is an amazing store that is every Avenger lovers dream. Upstairs there are murals that cover the entire walls they are fabulous. My kids were in awe before we even went in. During the ticketing process, you can choose whether you want rent a device or use the app on your phone. In lieu of being responsible for three devices, I opted for just one.
The set up and feel of the Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. experience was so exciting. You begin in a briefing room and after that you go on an adventure where each room highlights the Avengers and their enemies. There is an interactive room where you can make a giant Hulk interact, you can try to pick up Thor's hammer and so much more! Each room has an interactive activity. On your device as you switch from to room to room you can answer trivia questions about each Avenger. Answering the questions allows you to participate in the final activity in the Iron Man room. The questions must be answered on your device to produce the code needed for the Iron Man interactive experience.
At the conclusion of the experience you fight your enemies in a final battle! After the battle you are debriefed and congratulated on becoming an Avenger. There is a dress up and photo opportunity after the experience! You can purchase your photos and ID badge and any photos you took on your device during the experience. My kids and I had so much fun!!!
Tips to maximize your experience:
1. There are no food or drinks allowed in the experience so plan accordingly.
2. There are no restrooms inside of the experience, make a trip to the potty before you head in.
3. Get a device or download the app for everyone who would like to participate in the Iron Man interactive activity.
4. Take photos on your device these photos are available to you afterwards.
5. If you choose not to have a device one will be provided to you at the end for the final fight.
We had an amazing time! Thank you for having us!
"Our Mama had the pleasure of attending the awesome Solid Gold Soul inside the Windows Showroon at the historic Bally's Las Vegas. This classis venue was the perfect place to bring on the hits. She had an incredible time and couldn't wait to write her first - #LeaveittoMama review.
"Very well attended. All ages (mostly those who call themselves grown and lol sexy). Otis Redding opened followed by a carbon copy of the legendary Ray Charles. The crowd loved, loved, lovvvved Smokey Robinson. The band was incredible! It represented over 100 years of talent. They performed each song with Solid Gold style and grace. According to the bass player, Gary, they've been performing for a month now. Two shows each night with lines wrapped everywhere!
Get there early and prepare for a great sing along for all Motown lovers including Diana Ross, Martha Reeves, James brown (complete with red cape) Baby Please Don't Go & I Feel Good.
It was an amazing night full of energy and non stop excitement- a must-see Las Vegas attraction."
