Product Review: Kiss Me Honey lip balm

2/25/2016

Living in Las Vegas causes dry skin, seasonal allergies and  cracked lips. Our goal is to find products that are free of chemicals and not tested on animals.

Kiss Me Honey lip balm offers everything we need as Mamas on the go- it's cruelty-free, eco-friendly and organic. Did I mention it's made locally and can be used as a lip primer? I know, I know – it's unreal:
  • Paraben free & all-natural ingredients: Organic beeswax, Organic coconut oil, Organic unrefined Shea butter, Vitamin E, Grapefruit seed extract, Organic sweet almond oil, Organic peppermint essential oil (for mint flavored)
Pro: It goes on smooth and offers a soft pout for those early morning drop-offs, rushed trips to the market, dance class outings and youth sports events. Or even better – a sweet smooch for hubby!

Con: Our
girls love it!

Tip: Buy them a tube and keep yours hidden.

Thanks for bringing us into the HIVE! Check out the site:

"Over the years, I have tried countless lip balms. I kept buying one after another finding likes and dislikes in each one. Then I decided to research the ingredients in lip balm products. I was surprised to find out that many lip balms are made with harmful chemicals and other ingredients that people should not be putting on their lips! Some of these ingredients do the reverse and dry lips instead of keeping them soft.
So I decided to make my own lip balm which can also be used as a lip primer. I started melting away and found a wonderful organic formulation that was safe for adults and children. Thus Kiss Me Honey evolved!" - Kellie Duran, Founder

HCF  - Happy, Calm & Focused Brain Supplements #fightmommybrain #review

We were contacted to receive and provide an honest review on HCF Happy, Calm & Focused Brain Supplements. Our need to remain on track is always important but when you add the summer heat, swimming, dance, gymnastics, and jiu jitsu to our calendar - every bit helps. I started taking HCF three weeks ago and have since had to deal with arranging funeral services, planning last minute travel, beginning the tot's summer activities - on top of my daily goals of running a successful home, marriage and business.

Prior to this journey, I read the ingredients and history of formulation; which is my automatic response when taking any new vitamin, supplement or medication. The fact that HCF is "hypoallergenic, and contains the purest neuro-nutrients obtainable: no preservatives, no chemicals, no coatings, no calories, no sweeteners, no enhancers, no yeast, no fragrance, no dairy, no gluten, no nuts, no wheat" really made me interested. Not to mention, the fact that HCF includes Amino Acids, Vitamins and Minerals for Memory, Attention, Focus, Mood, Concentration, Sleep, and Weight Loss. Needless to say, the timing was impeccable!

My results:

Happy. My husband commented that I seemed happier the first week. I've noticed an enhanced ability to relax without worry. I can schedule activities with ease, knowing that I can complete them and spend more time with the most important people in my life.

Calm. At my lowest, I was able to maintain a sense of strength and make difficult decisions. I've never experience death as closely as I've had to this month. It's been a reflective, yet inspiring time. I've learned that my strength comes from within. Once calm, I can harness my grief and maintain.

Focused. I've been able to complete my to-do list each day; which is rare. I'm taking on several new projects and need to finish each day with a clean slate. I've seen great improvements in time management and attention to detail.

LeaveittoMama.com started in February of 2014 and has grown through collaborations, networking and brain power. The time we've spent has not been easy, but definitely rewarding. We are learning that in order to be our best, we must put our health first.

Pros:

  • No jitters, shakes or digestive issues
  • Improves cognitive function
  • Contains a valuable calming agent

Cons:

n/a

Ultimately, the use of HCF allowed me to use time more efficiently; which left more energy to enjoy the most important part of life - living. I received HCF complimentary for an honest review. I enjoyed the use of these supplements and will continue due to the positive results I've experienced.

Summer Series: KID APPROVED #snacks

School is out and the kids are ready for some summer fun. Personally, I have enjoyed every second of my time at home with my daughter and as a result, I’ve discovered one of her favorite times of day is snack time. Snack time can be an easy time for most parents because we usually hand our little ones a pre-package bagged or boxed item. To be clear, I am not against store bought snacks (seriously Trader Joe’s has some of my daughter’s favorites) but I have time off during summer and I wanted to become more hands-on in my daughter's snack choice.

Instead of giving my daughter store bought processed snacks, I have chosen a healthier route by making her snacks. Pinterest is my go-to for finding unique snack ideas, but I also take into consideration what my little one likes to eat and create healthier alternatives for particular foods. For example, my daughter is big fan of frozen treats so I found different ways to take advantage of this, while sneaking some extra fruit into her diet. She is eating a healthy homemade snack option that both satisfies her taste buds and helps me provide essential vitamins and nutrients for my baby girl.

My goal for the summer is to encourage my daughter to eat more fruits and vegetables, so I want to share eight snack recipes that are enjoyable and healthy for our little ones to eat.

1. Peanut Butter and Apples: This classic snack can be jazzed up by adding raisins and/or granola.

2. Fruit Kabobs: You can mix and match your child’s favorite fruits with this simple snack

3. Grilled Cheese Roll Ups: Revamp the regular grill cheese sandwich for a fun roll up.

4. Carrots and Celery: A simple but healthy snack, you could even add a dipping sauce of the side.

5. Frozen Banana Pops: This snack is a good alternative for popsicles. You can dip your banana bites in dark chocolate to add a little sweetness.

6. Celery with Peanut Butter and Raisins: An after-school favorite “Ants on a Log” can be a fun snack to make with your children.

7. Cheese and Crackers: Another simple snack but a healthier option instead of a Lunchable.

8. Frozen Yogurt Dots: This is a great snack to beat the heat and fun for kids to help make and eat.

Please enjoy and share these amazing snacks and don’t forget to follow my Pinterest Board for more ideas.

XoXo,

Bee
