![]() Wowsers! It has been quite a crazy 24 hours since my last entry. Here are the highlights: 1. Woke up from her nap dry (yesterday). 2. Slept through the night and woke up dry. 3. Started the day with with two accidents - she could not make it to the POTTY. 4. Midday, we got into our groove - she completed a serious task (which I will spare the details. Let's just stay she does not have a problem with numbers one or two. It is now nap-time. I can catch up on the chores that have been overlooked during this process. Thankfully - I ate breakfast with hubby and was able to cook his lunch prior to his departure.. Tips for Day Two: 1. Be Present. 2. Be Nice. 3. Be Persistent. 4. Think Ahead. I slept soundly last night and woke up two hours prior to the house to complete my tasks for the day. The soreness from crouching down and sitting on the floor all day was grueling. Yet, I'm grateful I was able to get a start on the day. Remember, this is not a transition for you. It is their time to grow and engage. Being focused, present and nice will be helpful to everyone involved.
There was a moment when I thought- maybe this isn't her time. Then, she proved me absolutely wrong. Listen to your little one. you know their mannerisms. Use your gut to determine the best method. Lastly, don't be caught without the essentials. We stocked up on paper towels, disinfectant and baby wipes, laundry detergent and liquids. Sorry for the brevity but I must tackle the dishes, fold some clothes and cook dinner before she wakes in one hour.
