Product Review: SmartKidsID bracelet

When presented with the opportunity review SmartKidsID bracelets-- we could not have been more excited!
We are always looking for ways to ensure our kids are safe. Each SmartKidsID comes pre-engraved with a unique QR Code that can be linked to a fully customizable child  profile. Our small kids, like most, tend to roam and while we haven't experienced more than a ten second separation- we want to ensure all measures are taken to assist in locating them expeditiously. The fact that the SmartKidsID bracelet can be used to not only locate lost children, but also store critical medical information is exceptional because two of our children require strict monitoring to avoid severe allergic reactions.

Since I was planning a family trip in March - I decided to bring the SmartKidsID bracelet along. I'd researched tons of places to see, travel accessories to use and the best way to travel with a child. The SmartKidsID bracelet was by far the best addition to our trip. I tried the small bracelet (pictured below) on my daughter's wrist days before our trip and it fit perfectly. My husband & I completed the free registration process with ease. He uploaded a picture, along with our demographic and contact information.  I appreciate the 'private' options - which are important if you wish to keep certain fields out of the public eye. Please note, all information will be stored and used as a Missing Child Alert to local law enforcement agencies (in case a child goes missing).

The use of QR Code technology is something we see all the time, yet I'm still amazed at how quickly my contact information is accessed once the bracelet is scanned. If someone finds a child, they will be three clicks away from calling their guardian:

1 - Scan bracelet

2 - Click OK to accept www.SmartKidsID.com

3- "Please CALL Guardians, if child is lost" appears along with Child's basic info, guardian's phone numbers & an option to leave your contact information

We used the bracelet every day of our vacation from the zoo, to the beach, at Fisherman's Wharf  and while shopping downtown in San Francisco. Attaching the bracelet became part of our daily routine. Dad secured it on my daughter and discussed the importance of staying near. She never complained about wearing the SmartKidsID bracelet, which is excellent given recent tantrums related to anything we suggest.

The SmartKidsID provides an easy way to keep our little ones at our fingertips. I'd recommend it for field trips, amusement parks or the grocery store - Five Stars!

Thanks for this post/review. I will be contacting them today. My son will be starting school soon and is primarily non-verbal. We are super nervous and this may help us. Thanks, again!
